Our main reason for visiting Guam was to become diving
certified. Though we had plenty to occupy us when above
water. Here is a view of the grounds from our balcony.

More of the beautiful pools, and grounds....

Our hotel was located on Tumon Bay....along with every other
hotel. Our beach was very nice and sandy.

Guam is only three hours by plane from Tokyo, so it is a tropical
paradise for the Japanese. And shopping paradise. Note the Planet
Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe. This happens to be right out
front of our hotel.

Tumon Bay did offer us incredible sunsets most evenings. And we
didn't even have to leave our hotel room to see them. |

The grounds included at least four natural shape pools, along with
waterfalls, waterslides, and rivers connecting them all.

and more......

The water was very calm as Guam is surrounded by barrier reefs.

I heard more Japanese spoken than English in this supposed American
territory. Maybe it is the draw of cheap name brand items.
Can you say duty-free? Designer items were everywhere.

As it was Christmas, the hotel had placed a giant tree in the
entryway. I know it is hard to see, but if you look closely, the
tree is decorated with red and white Japanese origami cranes. |
